Sneakishness

JK and Mr. Wolf and I went on a looooong drive yesterday to visit the place where Mr. Wolf lived sometimes last year. Mr. Wolf was a teacher for college students at a school far away from Chicago.
I always wondered where he went every week, and yesterday I got to see!

Mr. Wolf had to go into his office to finish cleaning up his books and take things from his computer. JK and Mr. Wolf snuck me into the office with them! They hid me in a big blue bag from IKEA! I was very quiet, and no one noticed that I was in the bag. It was very fun to be sneaky.

Here I am with Mr. Wolf in his office.

I just sniffed around and played quietly with JK so no one would know that I was there.
JK said that I was a champ for being so quiet and silly in the office.
When Mr. Wolf was done cleaning his office, JK wrapped me in the orange blanket and carried me out of the office like a baby. No one saw us! Success!

Then we went to Mr. Wolf's little house and cleaned up around there. They used the big vacuum cleaner. I hate vacuums. But otherwise it was fun to play in Mr. Wolf's small house.

Mr. Wolf's House when he is not at our house.
I was also not supposed to be in Mr. Wolf's house, because the man who owns the house said NO DOGS allowed. But since he was moving out, we decided it was OK for me to play there for a while when JK and Mr. Wolf were cleaning up. And the owner is also on vacation.

It was a long day of sneaking! We had a long drive back, and I got to sit on JK's lap the whole time. I was worn out, but very happy to know that Mr. Wolf will only live at our house with us from now on.

PupFather's Day

JK and Mr. Wolf and I went in the car to Mr. Wolf's parents' house on Sunday. We went there so Mr. Wolf could celebrate Father's Day with his father.

JK and me in the car.

Snoozing with the AC blowing on my fur.

Mr. Wolf is a very good PupFather! So I gave him lots of kisses and licks on PupFather's Day so that he would know how much I love him. Happy PupFather's Day!

I Like People The Best

I did meet some nice dogs last week at the Red Door walk, but generally I like people better than dogs. This week I had to show my angry teeth and bark at several big dogs who tried to scare me and get too close to me, or to JK, on our walks.

Two different big dogs tried to get me from behind a fence this week, and JK pulled me away from them even though I wanted to show them that I was not afraid. And then today, JK and Mr. Wolf and I were walking in the park near the beach, and this dog who was not attached to any people ran very fast straight for us. I was so angry at her for getting too close to JK and Mr. Wolf, and for trying to run at me and scare me, that I got into a fight with her. Mr. Wolf and the other dog's person yelled angry words at each other, and JK pulled me very hard away from the other dog. JK picked me up away from the other dog and said happy words to me to help me calm down, and we walked away from the dog and her person.

I didn't get hurt, and neither did the other dog. But JK and Mr. Wolf said that the other dog should not have been allowed to run around without her person. It was all very exhausting. I was glad to rest for the rest of the day.

There are some nice dogs out there, but I really prefer people. Especially my people.

Red Door "Gimme Shelter" Walk!

Today JK and Mr. Wolf took me to a big party just for dogs and their people. They told me that it was a party to help raise money for Red Door, which is the place that took me in when I didn't have any place to go, and helped JK and Mr. Wolf find me. I was very happy to help Red Door raise more money so that they can help more pups. (JK reminded me that they also help cats and rabbits). The party was called the "Gimmer Shelter Walk".

Here I am getting ready for the walk in the bandanna that the nice Red Door people gave me:
But I don't really like things around my neck, so JK took it off before we got started on the walk. Here is a picture of lots of the dogs and their people on the walk:

There were all kinds of dogs there!
And here are two pictures of me walking in the walk.

I am very speedy.
It was a very good day, and I got to make some new friends, and even re-meet an old friend, Bonnie, who took care of me for a little while before JK and Mr. Wolf adopted me. JK told me that she is called a "foster mom" for Red Door.

Bonnie has a dog of her own, too, and he and I had met when she took care of me. I didn't remember him at first, but then I did, and we started to be friends again. His name is Charles.

Charles and I look a little bit alike, don't you think?
JK and Mr. Wolf and I had a very good day at the park today. I'm very glad that so many dogs and their people came out to help Red Door!

Chipotle

There is a place called "Chipotle" in our neighborhood, and JK and Mr. Wolf like to go there a lot. Usually they just go by themselves without me, but on Saturday they took me with them and we all sat outside together while they ate their burritos.

Did you know that I also love burritos?

I would be very happy if you gave me a taste of that burrito. I know there is cheese on it.
I have found patience and persistence to be very helpful when I would like to try some of JK and Mr. Wolf's food.

Just a bean? Maybe some rice?

But JK tells me that there are ingredients in burritos that are not good for pups. Things like onion and garlic and stuff like that. But somehow they almost always manage to find a nibble of cheese or an extra black bean or two for me.

Delish.
Food: Nibbles of Chipotle beans and cheese
Rating: 4 out of 5 cheesy treats
Highlights: Eating at a restaurant with JK and Mr. Wolf on a nice day, beans and cheese are both very tasty.
Problems: Only tiny nibbles, and they were more concerned with taking pictures of me than with finding good bits of cheese for me to eat.

MMMMmmmmmmmmmeat!

JK and Mr. Wolf went to a fancy party last night.  Mr. Wolf wore strange-looking clothes and JK wore shoes that made her very tall. Anyway, I was very excited when they came home from the party, because I could smell that they had brought something delicious home with them.

JK explained to me that even though she and Mr. Wolf do not eat meat, they had been served some, and it was going to be thrown into the trash! Imagine that! Tasty tasty meat getting thrown in the trash. Well, they thought that I would like that meat, so they wrapped it up and brought it home for me!!!!

Joy! I have not had clean, just-cooked meat in so long! The only chunks of meat I usually get to eat are the ones I find on the ground and eat quickly before JK or Mr. Wolf notice that I am chewing something. And then they usually tell me to "LEAVE IT!". But last night, JK sat on the couch with me and fed me little chunks of the good meat.

It was glorious. I wagged my tail so hard I almost fell off the sofa.

FOOD: Chunks of good meat
Rating: 5 out of 5 cheesy treats
Highlights: Clean, no bugs on it, very very delicious
Problems: No problems, except I want more now
