Bed Weasels

Yesterday morning, JK told Mr. Wolf that there was a bed weasel in the bed, and I was very surprised! I was in the bed at the time, and I didn't smell any weasels or any other animal in the bed.

It is my job to protect JK and Mr. Wolf from any miscreant animals or bad people, so I had to come up from under the blanket to see if somehow an animal had gotten onto the bed where I couldn't see it or smell it...

Me, coming up to check for weasels.

Wait a minute! Mr. Wolf is looking at me and saying that I am the bed weasel! What? That's impossible. I am definitely NOT a weasel.
Mr. Wolf is confused.

The whole thing was very silly. Mr. Wolf and JK were being strange, like people are sometimes, and pretending that I was the weasel in the bed. I have no idea why people say such silly things.

Please explain them to me.

Nothing to Report

It has been so long since I posted on the AugBlog!
Well, friends, that's because there has been relatively little to report. It is still cold outside. I still hate wearing the coat. No treats have fallen all over the ground lately, and I haven't destroyed any new toys in a while. There's really nothing to tell.  JK tried to take a funny video of me chomping on a big bite of apple, but for some reason it would not work on the blog.

So, instead, I'll share a photo of JK and Mr. Wolf and JK's family dog, named Angus.

Angus has loved JK a long time.
Angus got to be a guest at JK and Mr. Wolf's wedding. I am jealous that he got to be there for their big party, because I'm sure there was a lot of food to eat! Angus lives with a new family now, because JK and her sister and brother have to sell the family house. But now Angus has a dog best friend named Lindy, and JK says he is enjoying his retirement as an indoor dog after years on the open farm.

I hope I get to meet Angus someday! He looks like a nice dog, even though he is big. JK loves him very much, just like she loves me. I'm glad he has a dog BFF and a nice new home and family.

Minding My Manners

JK was eating her dinner on the couch today, and I really wanted to try some. JK and Mr. Wolf sometimes let me try their food and sometimes they don't, but JK's food smelled very good to me, so I thought I would ask her for a bite.

I'm trying to work on my manners, rather than begging and jumping for bites of food. I politely put my paw on JK's leg and looked up at her to tell her that I wanted to try her dinner.

It worked! I got a tiny bite of mushroom and a few sprinkles of cheese. And I got a treat afterwards for being so calm and polite. I would have liked more of her cheese-smelling food, but I can be happy with a nibble and a treat.

Eating Lamb

I got a new toy the other day, and I love it very much. I love it because I love to try to rip it into tiny pieces. It is a soft, fluffy lamb toy, and I would like to eat all of the soft fur from it and tear off it's smiling face.

Here are some pictures of me chewing on Lamb:

Sometimes JK likes to pretend that she is going to steal Lamb away from me, so I have to pull hard to get him back.

So far, I've managed to tear some big chunks of fur from Lamb, and I've pulled part of its face off. Getting closer to my goal of total destruction!

Fro Yo!

JK and Mr. Wolf and I went on a trip in the car today to get Mr. Wolf's favorite treat at a place called Red Mango. JK and Mr. Wolf like to eat the cold, sweet frozen yogurt that comes in paper cups, and today they took me along so I could share.

Why, yes, I would like to try some.

JK made me promise not to tell anyone that I shared her spoon.

Mr. Wolf tried to keep me from stealing licks of his fro yo, but it didn't work.

Yeah, that was good.
Food: Red Mango Frozen Yogurt - vanilla and pomegranate
Rating: 4 out of 5 cheesy treats
Highlights: sweet, delicious, fun to lick
Problems: It is way too cold outside to eat such a cold treat. It made me shiver!

Hooray for Clumsy Humans!

JK usually types my posts for me, but Mr. Wolf is going to type about our adventures today because he was home with me when all the fun began.

Whoa! What an exciting day! It started like any other day when Mr. Wolf is home. JK got up and went to work, and then Mr. Wolf and I were home alone together. I decided to have a late morning nap, as I often do, but Mr. Wolf said that I looked a little sad. He says that I look sad a lot during the day, and that I am sad because JK is gone. Sometimes that's true. Sometimes I miss JK a lot, and that makes me sad. But sometimes I am just a little tired. Anyway, this is what I looked like this morning:

I did not expect anything exciting to happen.

Mr. Wolf is working, and I am lounging.

So, there I was, minding my own business and resting, when Mr. Wolf decided that he needed to cheer me up. I was pretty tired and didn't want to play. I thought that Mr. Wolf would give up and let me rest some more, and that is when something magical happened. Mr. Wolf said that I should have a treat, and he picked up the treat canister (I just learned that word!) by the front door. He tried to pull of the top, but when he did he dropped the canister on the ground and all the treats came spilling out! I couldn't believe it! I always dreamed that this might happen -- all the treats for me! I knew that Mr. Wolf would try to clean up the treats, so I sprang from my bed and began eating them as fast as I could. Here I am eating all the treats:

Wow! Treats!
Thankfully, Mr. Wolf didn't try to clean up the treats right away. Instead, he grabbed the camera and took some pictures. Normally I don't like my picture to be taken, but today I wished he would have taken one hundred pictures so I could have eaten all the treats! Well, things didn't quite turn out that way. After I had eaten a few of the treats, Mr. Wolf cleaned up the big pieces, but he forgot to clean up all the little bits. I ate all of these. Some were under the TV, and some fell into JK's boots, but I made sure I got them all.

Treat bits! Everywhere!

Any treats under here?

Any treats in here?
All this treat eating made me more tired than ever, so I took a long nap when all the excitement was over.

Napping with Lion, with a full tummy.
