Me and Boyd
See that silly looking tangle of brown fur next to me on the pillow? That is Boyd. He is my new soft friend. He is supposed to look like an ostrich or something, so JK and Mr. Wolf called him "Bird" for a while. But since everything in our house eventually gets a silly name, they started calling him Boyd instead.
I love Boyd. I love to tear his eyes off of his head, I love to thrash him around in my mouth, I love to bite and bite and bite his stomach and make him make the SQUEAK! sound. But I will never do those things when JK has her camera out. I will only sit nicely next to him and try to look shy. JK knows that as soon as she puts her camera away, I will go back to trying to violently tear him to shreds.

What? That wasn't for me? Ooops.
JK brought home some nice soft bundles of something fuzzy. They were sitting on a chair near my bed, and I thought that they looked like good things for me to play with. So while JK was working on the computer and Mr. Wolf was on the phone, I took two of the soft bundles and ran away with them and pulled them apart!
It took them a long time to notice I had done this.
Mr. Wolf even said "Looks like Aug has been eating wool!" and JK just looked at me and shrugged and didn't realize that I had been into her bundles.
But it turns out that the bundles were not toys for me, but supplies for some kind of project. Probably a project she is going to make with Jackie. I'm glad that JK said that they are not ruined, and she can still use them.

My Happy Auggiversary!
Today JK and Mr. Wolf and I celebrated my one year Auggiversary! I came home to live with JK and Mr. Wolf one year ago today! It has been a great year.
They threw me a little party, and we did other fun things today to celebrate.
This morning, JK hung this banner in the apartment and Mr. Wolf came to hold me up so we could get an Auggiversary picture.
JK also surprised me with a small cake made out of round slices of cheese! I got to eat it all myself! It even had a festive flag on top.
The Cheese Cake was so delicious. And so was the lickable writing on the plate!
After I had eaten my plate of cheese and licked my name off the platter, JK and Mr. Wolf gave me my Auggiversary present - a brand new bed! With a big soft neck rest all the way around it! They even gave me a matching sheet so I can burrow. I went right away to get Pig and Lion so they could try it out with me.
And I decided to try it out while JK and Mr. Wolf got their other bags together to set off for our Auggiversary adventure.
We got in the car and drove to another house where some friends of JK and Mr. Wolf live. They have a big back yard, with a garden and flowers. They also have two small people who live in their house and like to chase after me. But I liked them, so we played together in the yard.
Today was a great Auggiversary! JK and Mr. Wolf love me a lot.

Dismembering Lamb
At long last, success!
Mr. Wolf pretended to take lamb away from me, and I pulled hard to get it back. I am very strong, and pulled very hard, and this time, finally, I pulled the leg right off of Lamb.

| Do not feel sorry for the Lamb. He was always taunting me. |
| I like chewing on Lamb's leg even more than I like chewing on Lamb. |

New Game
JK took a funny cardboard box shaped like a piece of chocolate cake and hid 2 of my peanut butter treats and one of the Squirrels inside the box. Then she gave me the box to figure out how to get to the treats. I really liked this game. I could smell the tasty treats, and I was very eager to find out how to get them out of the box. Eventually, I figured out that if I first pulled the Squirrel out of the box, I could fit my head into the box and get the treats.
Then, I figured out that if I keep pushing and tipping the box around all different ways, the tiny treats would fall out, and I wouldn't have to get the Squirrel out first. I could just tip the box over and the treats came out all by themselves.
This was a good game. I liked to play it.

Eating Lamb
I got a new toy the other day, and I love it very much. I love it because I love to try to rip it into tiny pieces. It is a soft, fluffy lamb toy, and I would like to eat all of the soft fur from it and tear off it's smiling face.
Here are some pictures of me chewing on Lamb:
Sometimes JK likes to pretend that she is going to steal Lamb away from me, so I have to pull hard to get him back.
So far, I've managed to tear some big chunks of fur from Lamb, and I've pulled part of its face off. Getting closer to my goal of total destruction!

Things that I like
Yesterday JK took me to another doctor in a different part of the city. I was very scared at first, but everyone was very friendly and nice to me, so I relaxed and was able to sit quietly with JK while we waited. After talking with several different doctors who examined me, JK had to leave me with them for the day. I got very sleepy and slept most of the day.
When I woke up, I had tubes coming out of my leg that were stuck on with very strong tape. Not to worry, I chewed them off quite easily. JK helped me get them off when she came to pick me up. I don't remember anything else that happened while I was at the doctor. I had Lion with me, so I didn't feel so afraid.
I didn't feel quite like myself yesterday, so JK didn't take any pictures of me for the blog. But I was very happy to see my favorite things when I got home, so I thought I would put some pictures up of those things instead. I don't really like going to the doctor, but I DO like these things:
I was so happy to see all these things when I got home. I was very hungry, so JK and I ate an apple and some string cheese, and I got my very own glob of peanut butter. Then I sat in some clothes on the floor and played with Sharky. I was very glad to be home with my favorite things.

Squirrels!
I like a lot of things about living in Rogers Park. But the squirrels are a real problem. Those shady vermin are everywhere. They skitter around on the grass right in front of me, they taunt me from the trees, and they seem to know that I cannot go any farther than the blue leash cord will let me stretch. They are vile little creatures. I like to lunge at them and snap my sharp teeth just so they know that if I were not tethered to my people, I would leap over there and snap them in two. I am getting some practice now by pretending to rip up some small fake squirrels, which were a gift from Jennifer with the brown hair.
My other favorite person, Jennifer with the brown hair, comes over once almost every day while JK and Mr. Wolf are gone to give me a treat and take me for a walk. She has two very energetic dog friends herself. I can smell them when she comes to visit. They have lots of different kinds of toys, and they like to play tug of war and catch and things. I had never played those games before, but I am very smart and am learning quickly.
Jennifer gave me this toy from their own house: a small replica of a tree trunk with holes for people to hide two small soft squirrels. I LOVE this toy. I love to yank those disgusting squirrels out of their quiet little tree and pretend to pull them to pieces. I love to play tug with JK or Mr. Wolf of Jennifer and imagine that one day, one of those little squirrels will lose it's little squirrely tail. Or HEAD!
Someday, I will get to chomp on a real squirrel. CHOMP! For real.
