My First Guest Blogger! Comet's Christmas Recap

Greetings, blogfriends!
Today we have a special guest on the AugBlog -- my friend Comet!
Comet is going to tell us all a bit about what Christmas is like when there is a very small person living in the house. Comet is the perfect Guest Blogger for Christmas time! His name sounds just like one of Santa's reindeer.

Welcome, Comet!

These days, if it has fingerprints on it and smells like graham crackers or apple juice, it's not my toy. If it smells like 'new' and has been strewn all over the floor since Christmas, it's not my toy. If it ever wrapped up a piece of string cheese, it's not mine and isn't supposed to be on the floor anyway. If it is a blanket laying on the floor these days, it's not for me. If the blanket has an assortment of plates and tea cups and stuffed animals on it, it is a tea party and I wasn't invited. Oh, yes, once in a while, there is still a bone put out for me. And even though that is totally cliché, I'll still chew on it. Things sure have changed since this baby came to live with us. But when she scratches my belly, shares her dinner with me, or uses me as a footstool or a pillow, I can start to see why they like her so much.

Comet, it sounds like your Christmas turned out OK, even with the little person running around. I hope she drops lots of string cheese where you can reach it!

Happy 2013, everyone! I hope that Santa was as good to you as he was to me this year:

Yay! All for me!
