Road Trip!

Greetings, Blog Friends!

My family has been on quite an adventure since the last time I blogged. JK and Mr. Wolf and I drove many many hours from our little apartment in Chicago to a little house in a place called Raleigh. I'll tell you the whole story, but with pictures....

First, I had to help JK pack up all our clothes and towels and things.
Yes! These are clean and warm and ready for packing.
Then, I had to stay out of the way when the mover men came to take all of our things out of the Chicago apartment.
Me, in the Pup Bag
I saw some CRAZY things that day while the mover men were working:
Whoa.
And then after all the cleaning and moving, Mr. Wolf and JK sat down on the floor in the empty apartment and had one last Deep Dish pizza in Chicago.

CHEESE!
Then, after spending the night at Mr. Wolf's parents' house, we got into the car and headed south.

I was the co-pilot in JK's car, and Mr. Wolf drove with his books in the seat.
It was a very very long drive, and I slept during times when I knew that JK knew where she was going.
Resting up to help navigate when she needs me.
We were going to drive straight through, but then JK and Mr. Wolf decided to stay in a hotel. The first hotel we tried was very yucky and smelled like old socks and sour milk. And the TV and internet were broken, so we moved to a new hotel. And JK and Mr. Wolf bought dinner from a place near by, and brought me a baked potato with CHEESE! My own little dinner.

I prefer my potato with both butter AND cheese
Then the next morning, we ate breakfast and got ready for the rest of the drive. JK brought me some apple and a tiny cup of peanut butter from the hotel breakfast room. Mr. Wolf helped hold the peanut butter steady so I could lick it out of the cup.
Breakfast of champions!
The second morning, we drove through some very pretty mountains and hills.
This is The South! And it is warm here!
And then we finally arrived at this little house, where we will live for a few months. JK and Mr. Wolf tell me that we are only going to stay here until we can find a place to rent for a long time, but I love this little house. It feels SO BIG compared to the Chicago apartment, and it has a long hall way to run down, and lots of closets for hiding my favorite treats for later, AND it has carpet on the floor so I can rub my face on it whenever I want. I love it here.

JK's new boss and his wife left us a care package of people treats for when we arrived in our new house. Wasn't that nice of them? JK and Mr. Wolf like treats too.
I got to share the apples!
So there you have it! Such a great adventure! I'll be sure to tell you all the stories of life in The South, since I know I have a lot to learn and many new people and dog friends to meet.
